The Bartenders Guide to the Job Interview

Here we go! You got the interview. This is where the rubber meets the road, and you’re raring to go. Or are you? Did you prepare? Got your answers down pat? You better!

Hey – I get it. it’s difficult for some people to go through an interview. I know it is for me. I don’t like them. Period. (I do love conducting interviews though!) However, if you did the work – if you prepared properly in advance – you’re going to be just fine.

Along with Section 15, Bartender Job Preparation, this is my favorite part of the course. Why? Because I know what Bar Mangers are looking for. I’ve been there – many times on both sides of the interview table.

Times have changed. Bar Managers these days are doing a little bit better job of “vetting” their possible new hires. Bartender interviews are longer than what they used to be. Much longer. And, more importantly, they’re taking a closer look at inexperienced bartenders. I’ll set you up for success.

You’re going to see videos of me answering actual bartender interview questions – in the Advanced Bartending Course. That’s right – I put it on the line showing you, visually, how to come up with unique answers to almost every common interview question. Fun stuff!

But, here’s the deal

You are here at the Free Basic Bartending Course. I offer here only a few lessons in this section. They’re good lessons – and will really help you out – but they are nothing compared to my “Advanced Bartending Course.”

My Free Basic Bartending Course provides you with everything you need to know about Basic Bartending. And then some. In fact, this free basic course is probably better than any other online bartending course out there.

That being said, I have reserved the “really good stuff” in this section for my paid course. I’m not going to provide those lessons, and awesome videos, here in the basic course.

Why? Because I put a lot of time into my “Paid” course. And, what my Bartending Courses are really about is getting you your first bartending job. They should be titled “The How To Get Your First Bartending Job” courses.

I teach stuff in this “Bartender Interview Tips and Techniques” section that no one else is teaching. Especially the paid course. It’s valuable, and will immensely improve your chances of getting that bartending job.

So, it is what it is. Below are the differences between my two Bartending Courses – and the “Bartender Interview Tips and Techniques” section:
